Peinado Arquitectos is a firm with more than 25 years of experience, focusing on architecture for businesses and healthcare architecture. In this specific case, it is patients in a maternity hospital that cares for the health of women and children. One detail of how patients are cared for is the delivery rooms. These are very important spaces, where special attention is paid to what happens before, during, and after the birth of a child. They are intimate spaces where families can be comfortable and at ease.

The patient is at the center of the project, which always seeks to create humanized spaces. It is a trend in hospital architecture that puts women at the center in this case, and the entire process of childbirth, taking into account both them and their families who accompany them in such an important event as the birth of a child.

The building's floor plan is basically rectangular, so during the design phase we found that each of the facades had different requirements. To the right there is a main avenue, with acoustic requirements, so we had to find profiles that would meet these needs. To the south, there is sunlight, so we had to be careful with the type of glass and profiles used. To the east, there are magnificent views of trees, treetops, and gardens. And to the north, there is privacy from the adjacent building.

STRUGAL has a magnificent range of solutions that can respond to each of these needs. Perhaps the main challenge was to ensure that a complex building such as a hospital, which had to be compact in order to meet all the program requirements, would ultimately provide rich and comfortable spaces, while also being a representative building.
